RAGING RAINS

The day has gone in history
when rains played havoc in lives
people atop poles , with ropes
carrying others from marrooned drives.
Why ac cars became death traps?
Hondas and Fords with jammed brakes
doors that locked death indoors
Rains which cool and also kill
its mans destiny or natures thrill
at his folly for building roads
so poor, concrete trapping the flow
of water from the skies
which soothes otherwise.
A deluge I love and hate sometimes
despite its colour and rage divine.

Dear Shoma,
rain, indeed a serious thread in many parts of the world.

We have it as a kigo for haiku in our Database.
