FREEDOM

Sometimes I wonder beings
at all the groups of earthlings
we have---ethnic, religious, national
which is the strongest bond of them all?

why the boundaries of land
dividing , forbidding,
arent humans free to
fly, ride, swim to other shores
to work or make films?

why leave ones homeland to
kill in another abode
birds of devastated greens
laying eggs in a distant wood?
